Typically, a normal fuel
cell system is composed of three parts namely the power electronics,
fuel
processor and the fuel cell stack. The power electronics is responsible
for
converting direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC)
electricity. While
the fuel processor, on the other hand, is responsible for the
production of
hydrogen fuel supply that enables the separation of elements. Once the
elements
are separated, hydrogen that is pure is then sent to the fuel cell
stack.
Lastly, the fuel cell stack is the one that combines numerous streams
of oxygen
and hydrogen, which then creates and reacts to electricity. For the
harnessing
of excessive energy, a heat recovery system is also one component that
a fuel
cell system has.
Barriers and Benefits
Together with its barriers
are the benefits. Water fuel cell parts have numerous social and
environmental
benefits. The current barrier for fuel cell parts is because of how the
market
is agreeing or disagreeing with its existence. Let’s face it.
Tycoons and oil
dealers will have to step down their thrones becomes they are
foreseeing that
in the future fuel cell will become more accepted than just the normal
gas
consumption. Studies are still ongoing but this is a fact: fuel cells
will soon
dominate the economy and save more of the people’s money and
the environment’s
life.
Based on
environmentalists, water fuel cell is more reliable than any other
kind. Why?
Because fuel cell consumes only fossil fuels just within its
circulation. This
only means that it doesn’t have to release gases to the
outside environment. If
there are gases that are released, it will only be in very small
quantities
like carbon dioxide. Enhancement of this environmental benefit can be
possible
due to the production of energy by the process of electrolysis that
came from
renewable sources of energy.
In cases of reliability,
fuel cell is one step ahead. It more reliable in terms of production of
energy
and reduction of dependence to imports of fossil fuels.
Another
advantage of water fuel cell parts is
that is that sources of hydrogen are massive. Hydrogen is just around
us.
Flowing. Floating. Hydrogen can be produced from sources like coal,
natural gas
and oil. It can also be made from waste that is also known as biomass.
Elements
which naturally surrounds us is also a candidate for hydrogen
production.
